EXPANDING CTE OPPORTUNITIES:

PROJECT SCOPE FOR JUNIOR/SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FACILITIES

The most significant component of our upcoming Jr./Sr. High school project centers on the expansion and enhancement of our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This work includes two major additions, each strategically located to support the diverse programming needs of our students.

  • Industrial Tech and Ag Education Addition and Renovation:
One new addition will be connected to the existing Industrial Technology wing at the rear of the high school. This area will undergo significant renovation, as well as a 6200 square foot, high-ceiling, new addition, transforming it into a state-of-the-art hub for Industrial Technology and Agricultural Science. The design will support hands-on learning, collaboration, and innovation in technical fields.

  • Family & Consumer Sciences Addition:
A 2,800 square foot addition will be located near the front of the building, adjacent to the auditorium. This space will house a modern Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) suite, featuring both household and commercial kitchen stations. It will also include an indoor/outdoor café area designed for community engagement, farm-to-table events, senior dining opportunities, and student-led culinary experiences. A welcoming lobby space will connect this area to the auditorium entrance, enhancing flow and accessibility.

As part of this transformation, the current FCS area will be repurposed to meet the specialized needs of our Level 3 Special Education program, providing tailored spaces that support life skills development and individualized learning opportunities.

This project reflects our commitment to creating safe, developmentally appropriate, and future-ready learning environments that empower students to explore career pathways and build essential life skills.
